In the Lion program, every activity is done with an adult partner (guardian), with help from their Lion Guide den leader and the Lion Handbook. Lion activities are fun and hands-on, and introduce them to Scouting, each other, and the outdoors. For example, the Lions learn about the Cub Scout motto, handshake, and salute; learn how to pack for a hike; and play games and go on hikes together. Lions also participate in Pack activities with the other grade levels, including the Pinewood Derby and Pack campouts.
